New York Giants Player David Diehl Arrested for DUI


On Sunday night, 31-year-old NFL star David Diehl – a lineman for the New York Giants – crashed his BMW into several parked cars after leaving a bar in Queens. A witness said that Diehl was so drunk he wasn’t able to walk without help. Although no one was hurt in the DUI incident, the player was slumped over behind the wheel of the car at the end of it. 

Once authorities arrived, they tried to make Diehl walk a straight line, but he failed the test. A day later, after being released from custody, Diehl apologized profusely for the poor decision-making that led to his DUI arrest. His blood alcohol level was at .182% – over twice the legal limit. In a Twitter post, Diehl wrote, “I’ve worked hard during my career to set a positive example, and yesterday I fell far short of this standard.”
