Lindsay Lohan had Open Container in Trunk of Wrecked Porsche

According to several news sources, last Friday Lindsay Lohan was involved in a car accident. She wasn't drunk, but she did have a water bottle full of alcohol in the trunk of her car. She cannot receive a DUI or open container charge for the incident, because no alcohol was detected in her system and California allows open containers in vehicle trunks.

Lohan was driving on the Pacific Coast Highway when she ran into the back of a semi-truck. She and her assistant suffered some minor injuries. There are conflicting reports of exactly how the bottle of alcohol was found. Other sources are reporting the bottle was found ejected from the car and placed in the trunk later. Either way, Lohan cannot be charged with DUI for this episode.

If you have been charged with DUI, the details of your arrest are critical to your case. At the Umansky Law Firm, our experienced criminal defense lawyers will investigate your arrest to make sure your rights were not violated. Any errors made by a police officer will raise serious questions about the legitimacy of your arrest.

If you have been charged with DUI in Orlando, Osceola, Orange County, Seminole or any other Florida cities, please contact the Umansky Law Firm to schedule a free and confidential consultation.
