Amanda Bynes Pleads Not Guilty in DUI Case; Tweets Obama
Back in
April, Amanda Bynes – star of
popular teen films like “What a Girl Wants” and “Easy A” – was charged with DUI after sideswiping a police car and allegedly
trying to flee the scene of the
accident. The young actress refused to
take a breathalyzer test or a blood test, causing the District Attorney to seek
a sentencing enhancement.
On Wednesday,
Amanda pleaded “not guilty” in her
DUI case, and then logged onto Twitter to ask President Obama for support. Her tweet reads: “Hey @BarackObama… I
don’t drink. Please fire the cop who
arrested me. I also don’t hit and run. The end.” Bynes’ father stands by
his daughter’s plea, insisting that she “didn’t have a single drink” the night
of the incident. “My daughter doesn’t drink,” he reiterated.
