“Teen Mom” Star Amber Portwood Asks Judge to Send Her to Prison

After enduring several months of unsuccessful rehab after her December 2011 drug arrest, Amber Portwood – star of the MTV reality series “Teen Mom” – has apparently given up on rehab altogether. During a weekly drug court hearing, she asked the judge to send her to prison rather than continuing with the drug court process.

Back in January, Amber was sentenced to five years in prison for drug possession, but she was given a second chance by the judge, who offered to vacate her sentence if she could successfully complete a drug rehab program. Amber has apparently struggled to meet the program’s requirements, and now has completely given up on the process.

Drug possession comes with serious criminal consequences, but as Amber’s situation reveals, there are programs available for first-time offenders and committed individuals who want to change their lives. If you have been arrested on drug charges in the Orlando, Florida area, our experienced Orlando drug defense lawyers at the Umansky Law Firm can help you fight for a better outcome in your case, giving you the second chance you need to move forward with your life.

Don’t let your mistake ruin your future. Contact the Umansky Law Firm today to schedule a free case evaluation with one of our Orlando criminal defense lawyers. We can help you get your feet back on solid ground.
