Probation Revoked for Actress Lindsay Lohan

Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan is unfortunately living up to what the public expects from her: failure. Lohan used Twitter to post that she failed a drug test last week and that she is ready to appear before the judge this week to face the consequences in Los Angeles, California. The judge revoked Lohan's probation and issued an arrest warrant for her, but is holding it until this Friday, September 24, when Lohan is supposed to appear in court.

The judge warned Lohan last month that any setback on her part would mean probable jail time. Lohan's supervised probation required frequent drug testing. It was just last month that she spent just over three weeks in court-ordered rehab after 13 days in jail for a probation violation.

Any drug addict will tell you that three weeks is not nearly enough time to recover. It seems on the outside that since Lohan is a star, she received special treatment, and that has come back to hurt her. Even though she appeared at the MTV Video Music Awards last Sunday to make fun of her own troubles in a skit, and the world probably laughed, Lohan apparently has serious problems. Acknowledging them now, perhaps because she was caught in a drug test, is good because it shows an iota of maturity on her part.

While an experienced drug offense attorney can work to get you treatment rather than jail time, it is ultimately up to you to decide to take charge of your life and make the right decisions. We are a law firm that believes in second chances, and we truly want you to succeed. It's unlikely that you have the same treatment Lohan does, but you have as much of a chance as she to turn things around and we will work hard to make sure you are treated fairly. A probation violation is a serious event, but we can help you through it.

If you have been charged with violating the terms of your probation in the Orange County or Orlando, Florida area, please contact the experienced criminal defense attorneys at the Umanksy Law Firm for a free and confidential case consultation.
