Don't Seal or Expunge on your own
Try not to Seal or Expunge records on your own. I get many calls everyday about sealing and expungment of criminal records. Unfortunatley in some cases, the people who call have tried to do it themselves to end up getting it denied by the Judge. This is most unfortunate because it then becomes harder for the lawyer to fix what was messed up by the potential client. Many clients file the wrong petition, use the wrong language or do not know how to handle it when the prosecutor objects. Even if money is tough, don't go it alone because sometimes you may make an error that will be too difficult to correct!
