120 Days for Former Warrant Singer DUI

Jani Lang, the former singer for the '80s hair metal band Warrant (hit song, "Cherry Pie") was sentenced to 120 days in prison after pleading no contest to driving under the influence earlier this year. In May, Lang crashed into a parked car while driving in Woodland Hills, California.

This is the second time in two years Lang has been charged with DUI. The last time he was sentenced to two days in prison and 36 months on probation. He was also ordered to take alcohol classes and had to do community service.

This time, the former hair rocker will do three months, had his license revoked for three years and ordered to complete a 30-month alcohol education program. Lang was ordered to report July 27 for his sentence.

Like Lindsay Lohan who will be spending time in prison beginning today for probation violations, Lang may see his prison sentence cut because of overcrowding in California jails.

If you have been charged with DUI in Orange County or Orlando, Florida, or anywhere else in the state of Florida, please contact the experienced criminal defense attorneys at the Umansky Law Firm for a free confidential case consultation.
