Felony Battery by Strangulation Charge Dropped
A young man with no prior criminal history was accused of felony battery by strangulation, a charge brought by his irate ex-girlfriend. When the Umansky Law Firm was hired by the client, we contacted the woman and brought her in to complete an affidavit. She admitted she made the whole thing up and we then presented the affidavit to the prosecutors. Within two weeks, we had convinced the prosecutor the case was not worth pursuing, and they decided against prosecuting the case.
A felony charge, like the ex-girlfriend of our client was attempting to bring against him, can wreck someone's life. Besides having the stigma attached to you of being someone who attacks people in this manner, you may also face jail time, probation, loss of employment and more.
If you have been charged with felony battery in the Orange County or Orlando, Florida area, or anywhere else in the state of Florida, please contact the experienced criminal defense attorneys at the Umansky Law Firm for an initial and confidential consultation.
