Effort to Speak with Husband gets Wife Arrested

Most married couples will tell you that things aren't always easy. You can be married for years and years, and still communication may not be what both wish it was – or wasn't.

Take the case of a 37-year-old Connecticut woman. In an effort to have a conversation with her husband, she took the extreme steps of changing the locks and then handcuffing herself to him as he slept. She was apparently afraid he was going to leave since they were having marital problems, and she was attempting to reconcile with him.

Things seem to have taken a turn for the worst, and she allegedly began biting her husband on the arms and torso. He was able to use his cell phone to call the police. The police say they could hear him screaming as they arrived at the couple's home.

The woman was arrested and charged with third-degree assault, reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct, and unlawful restraint.

No matter how bad things get in your relationship, this is obviously not the answer. However, when one is accused of domestic violence, it is time to obtain the service of an experienced domestic violence attorney.

If you have been charged with domestic violence in the Orange County or Orlando, Florida area, or anywhere else in the state of Florida, please contact the Umansky Law Firm for an initial consultation.
