Home Invasion Victim Arrested for Pot Possession

An Orange County 20-year-old stepped outside to smoke a cigarette just after midnight. That's when four men forced him back into his apartment at gunpoint. The intruders allegedly forced him to give up his marijuana, television, Xbox, and other electronics. None of the other residents of the apartment were injured.

When deputies arrived and began their investigation, they found a quarter pound bag of marijuana in the man's bedroom. He was then arrested on charges of possession of marijuana over 20 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia.

While authorities have not made a connection, another home invasion with similarities to this one occurred on Monday in Maitland. No suspects have been arrested.

According to police, most home invasions are because the person who lives there has drugs.

If you have been charged with drug possession or possession of paraphernalia in the Orange County or Orlando, Florida area, or anywhere else in the state of Florida, please contact the experienced drug offense attorneys at the Umansky Law Firm.
