DUI Charge Reduced to Reckless Driving
A recent Umansky Law Firm client was facing mandatory jail time for a second DUI charge within five years of his first. He was initially pulled over for a malfunctioning taillight. The officer smelled alcohol and began a sobriety check. He was subsequently arrested for suspicion of DUI.
The Umansky Law Firm attorneys were able to produce a witness who stated the vehicle lights were working perfectly and that the defendant performed well on the field sobriety exercise. The state ultimately offered to resolve the case with an amendment to a reckless driving charge, which allowed the client to avoid incarceration and a five year suspension of his license.
If you have been charged with a DUI in the Orange County or Orlando, Florida area, or anywhere else in the state of Florida, please contact the experienced DUI defense attorneys at the Umansky Law Firm. We will evaluate your case in an initial and confidential consultation.
