Tourist has Petit Theft Case Dropped and Expunged
A recent client of the Umansky Law Firm was a touris visiting from a Caribbean country. The client was arrested and charged with allegedly stealing clothes from a JC Penny store. The client was a first time offender and had never been in trouble with the law before.
Attorney Umansky was able to convince the state to dismiss the client's case and put her into a pretrial conversion program. By successfully completing the program, the charges were dropped against the client. The Umansky Law Firm was then rehired by the client to convince the judge to expunge the charge of petty theft. The client is now able to deny ever having been arrested or charged with petty theft subject to certain exceptions.
If you have been charged with theft in the Orange County or Orlando, Florida area, or anywhere else in the state of Florida, please contact the Umansky Law Firm for an initial and confidential case evaluation.
