Three Arrested for Withdrawing Funds from Town Bank Account
Eatonville police have arrested three people they allege wrote bad checks withdrawn from the town bank account. Two siblings from Orlando and one man from Fort Lauderdale are accused of using counterfeit checks made from the refund check one of them received when she cancelled a reservation for the town community center.
Authorities say the three spent over $2,700 at 3D Tire, ABC Fine Wine and Spirits, Burlington Coat Factory, Walmart and on T-Mobile cellular phones and service. The Eatonville finance director discovered the alleged account withdrawls when she logged into the online bank to process checks for payroll.
If you have been accused of fraud or theft in Orange County, Orlando, or anywhere else in Florida, please contact the Umansky Law Firm for an initial confidential case evaluation.
